Why is the acquisition taking place?
This partnership is an opportunity for VIA Technical to continue to provide high-value services to its existing clients, as well as potentially across expanded markets and for new clients across the Eliassen Group ecosystem, which will result in the following:

What will happen to the VIA Technical brand?
VIA will continue to operate under the VIA Technical brand for a time (as “VIA Technical is now Eliassen Group”) while undergoing an intentional transition to the unified Eliassen Group brand.
Please stay tuned for additional information and communication, including instructions on how to update your email signature and voicemailbox greeting.
What will happen to the VIA’s leadership and team?
VIA’s founders will remain in their current leadership roles within Eliassen’s Technology Solutions business, led by Taz Stephens and Tom Hart, both of whom report to Dave MacKeen, Chief Executive Officer.
VIA’s operations team members will join Eliassen’s respective operations teams (e.g. Finance/Accounting, Onboarding, etc.)
How will my day-to-day interactions with clients, consultants, etc. change?
What should I tell my clients / consultants?
What will happen to my health benefits?
There are no immediate changes to medical, dental, or vision benefits.
Eliassen will offer VIA employees the opportunity to enroll in Eliassen Group’s robust benefit programs in the coming months.
The combined teams will work together to identify the best time to transition to Eliassen’s various benefit programs – and will communicate all the relevant details in the coming months (including plenty of time for Q&A and informational sessions well in advance of the enrollment process).
This will most likely occur during Q4 of 2024 or early in 2025.What will happen to my 401(k) plan?
As of now, the VIA Technical 401(k) plan has been frozen for any new contributions. All participants will be notified when it’s okay to move forward with withdrawing or rolling over the funds into the Eliassen 401(k) plan (among other options).
Eliassen will offer VIA employees the opportunity to contribute to its Fidelity 401(k) plan in the coming months. Once that date has been determined, we will communicate all relevant details regarding enrollment, account access, Eliassen’s company match, and rollover options, including plenty of time for Q&A and informational sessions.
This will most likely occur during Q4 of 2024 or early in 2025.What about VIAs offices?
Eliassen has never had a physical presence in the San Diego market and plans to continue operating the VIA office space for the foreseeable future.
Additionally, Eliassen operates nationwide as a “hybrid work organization” – with most teams working in a combination of both remote work and in-office collaboration.
We will share more details on this model in the coming months.
