Job Description
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability. Build and consume RESTful APIs and contribute to microservices architecture for distributed, reliable, and high-performing systems. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines with tools, such as Maven, Jenkins, Docker, and Git, supporting automated build, testing, and deployment processes. Integrate and configure messaging systems (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ) to enable real-time event-driven and asynchronous communication. Work with both relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB) performing schema design, optimization, and query tuning. Collaborate within Agile frameworks (Scrum or Kanban), actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and using JIRA/Confluence for project tracking and documentation. Contribute to architectural decisions, defining system design and best practices for integration, scalability, and security. Job located in Reading, MA, but position allows remote work from home.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field plus 1 year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer or any related occupation -OR- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field plus 5 years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer or any related occupation.
Offered salary is not required by the DOL to be posted on the employer website posting, but if it is necessary for Eliassen’s website format, the offered wage is $178,131/yr.
