The FS AI RMF builds on the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and adapts it for financial services through actionable, lifecycle‑based control objectives developed via public‑private collaboration led by the Cyber Risk Institute. It is designed to help institutions assess AI maturity, apply proportionate controls, embed accountability, and align AI governance with existing enterprise risk and compliance frameworks.
