Certified Pro Agile Team Facilitation

This workshop focuses on engaging and developing the skills needed for facilitation within an Agile Team. It will provide the participant with all the tools and techniques needed to accelerate Agile meetings towards common goals and drive outcomes. The participant will develop a deeper understanding of how to facilitate communication and collaboration within agile teams. As well as empower and enable self-organizing teams.

This experience will deepen participants’ library of tools and techniques needed to accelerate agile growth within their organization and gain practical experience using these tools for specific agile practices.

Typical Topics and Activities

  • Agile vital signs – what to look for in a healthy team and a healthy Agile adoption.
  • Personal canvas – high performance Agile teams know each other’s skills and understand their perspective.
  • Facilitation, Emotional Intelligence, and Active Listening practice – in this workshop you’ll have lots of opportunities to practice and deepen your understanding of these core Agile coaching skills.
  • Planning – preparing for and working with the product owner for iteration planning and backlog grooming.
  • Standups – how to run a great standup.
  • Iteration review – preparing and working with the product owner to run a brief yet effective iteration review.
  • Retrospectives – preparing and running.
  • Energizing retrospectives – retrospective techniques and best practices to go beyond the typical.
  • Rules of engagement – a high performance team requires knowing what the rules are.
  • Meeting design.
  • Planning practice – as a team, work together to create a release plan for a sample project.
