FAQ: TECHNOLOGY STAFFING
Here are questions we're commonly asked by prospective clients:
-
For which geographical areas does Eliassen Group provide technical staffing services?
Eliassen Group uses two models of service to ensure coverage of the continental United States. In Massachusetts, New York and North Carolina, we use a regional model that allows us face-to-face contact with both clients and technical consultants. Beyond these geographies we use a national model of staffing based on telephone contacts both to screen consultants and to place them in your organization.
-
What effort does Eliassen Group make to screen prospective technical consultants to present to me?
We consistently deploy our proprietary Recruiting Quality Management process that includes telephone screening, interviews in person for those consultants who can drive to our regional offices, reference checking, and further screening services (e.g., security, bonding) as required by the client.
-
How does Eliassen Group try to make sure the candidate is a good fit for my IT environment?
We work the issue from two ends: yours to understand your project needs, the talent profile you seek and the culture of your organization. At the other end, our recruiters obtain a profile of a consultant's skills, work habits and style so that when your request for technical talent comes to us, we are ready to query our robust database and find you the talent that will fit best in your IT organization, both skills-wise and culture-wise.
-
How broad or narrow are the skills of technical consultants in Eliassen Group's database?
We offer technical consultants whose skills span the software development cycle and networking talent with hardware skills. Additionally our clients often request hard-to-find skills such as project management, data warehousing/database development, technical and functional analysis and enterprise resource planning.
-
Why does Eliassen Group provide training resources as part of your staffing offerings?
Many of our IT clients are engaged in complicated IT projects that require training and documentation support for end-users or for specific functions that will impacted by a new software application, for example. We believe that by having our own in-house training team, we can control the quality of training skills we can offer so our trainers are available on a project basis, just like the technical talent in our database.
-
Can Eliassen Group provide more than one person at a time for an IT project?
We have had many opportunities over the years to provide small and large teams of technical talent to clients who might be customizing enterprise software or moving major functionality from legacy systems, for example. We are not daunted by the challenge of providing full technical teams.
-
How often does Eliassen Group update the job postings on your Web site?
Our Web site is directly linked to our database so as soon as your project, training or full-time employment opportunity is defined, that opening will appear on our site. Every day technical consultants scour our site for openings that interest them so that contact augments our querying of our database for the technical talent that's the best fit.
-
For which industries does Eliassen Group provide staffing solutions?
Our 19-year history of providing technical staffing talent has developed depth in many industries, including financial services, software, bio-pharma, retail, government, healthcare (including insurance providers), and media/publishing. We can provide references from satisfied clients from almost any industry.
-
