National consulting and staffing firm to utilize funds to develop new career opportunities and advancement
July 17, 2015 – Eliassen Group, a national consulting services and staffing firm, today announced that the company has been selected to receive more than $160,000 in grant funds from the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund Program. These funds enable companies in Massachusetts to provide job specific, skills based training to their employees for the purpose of professional growth that assists with the creation of new jobs and expanded roles within their respective functions. Eliassen Group will utilize this awarded grant in order to deliver sales training, leadership development and management training, as well as customer service training, to its workforce over the next 24 months.
“We are thrilled to have been selected to receive these funds,” said John Segalla, director of talent acquisition and organizational development at Eliassen Group. “As a staffing and consulting firm, we are committed to providing our employees with the right training opportunities that will enable them to achieve their career goals, as well as strengthening the local and national workforce as a whole. The customized training that we will deliver with our training partner, High Performance Learning, Inc., utilizing this grant award will create dozens of new jobs and approximately 15 promotions.”
The company plans to begin with the sales and leadership training programs initially with an objective of immediate impact for its revenue producers and leadership team. From there, they will engage their customer service and recruiting teams with programs that are specifically geared towards these roles.
“The people of Boston and our Commonwealth, who hail from every neighborhood and every corner of the world, fuel Boston's economic growth,” John Barros, chief of economic development for the City of Boston said in a statement. “Business investment in training is among the best ways to cultivate great talent and maximize the value that working men and women bring to our economy.
