Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day administration of medical, dental, vision, FSA, life/disability and 401(k) plans
    • Respond to employee/consultant benefit inquiries
    • Process all 401(k) deferral changes and upload weekly 401(k) contributions
    • Monitor weekly vendor file error reporting
    • Monitor new hire enrollment and coordinate with payroll for necessary adjustments
    • Distribute required plan documents upon enrollment and on an annual basis
    • Process State Child Support withholding documents
  • Process monthly vendor invoices
  • Provide benefits reporting to finance/accounting on regular intervals
  • Send weekly email communications to employees/consultants regarding benefit enrollment and termination information
  • Process and monitor weekly COBRA changes
  • Create benefits materials for new hires and assist with benefit filing
  • Maintain benefits sections of HR Intranet page
  • Assist with Open Enrollment planning and execution
  • Assist with ACA tracking and reporting
  • Participate in Wellness Program planning and administration
  • Assist with other projects, as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or Business-related field and 2-3 years of benefits administration experience; experience in a multi-location company is a plus
  • Familiar with benefits regulations (ACA, ERISA, IRS & DOL regulations, COBRA, etc.)
  • Experience with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now a plus) and general experience integrating with payroll/finance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Highly focused on customer-service
  • Self-motivated and highly attentive to detail
  • Must be able to effectively handle a high volume of requests from multiple sources and track ongoing issues
  • Must be able to operate at a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
